Naba Das Murder: Opposition Smells Deeper Conspiracy

Bhubaneswar: Veteran BJP leader and the Leader of Opposition, Jayanarayan Mishra demanded a CBI investigation into the death of Odisha Minister Naba Kishore Das on Monday. “If the police officer who shot the BJD leader was mentally ill, why was a service revolver given to him?” he questioned.

The state government’s crime branch inquiry, according to Mishra, who smells a greater conspiracy behind the occurrence, would not be able to reveal the truth. He stated, “I am not satisfied with the probe being conducted by the crime branch”.

The BJP leader demanded that the CBI conduct a thorough and unbiased investigation into the entire incident. If not the CBI, he suggested a magisterial-level investigation.

On the other hand, top Congress politicians described the episode as simply the tip of an iceberg and said the administration now needed to reflect on its actions and make changes.

The attack on the Health Minister by a police officer, according to veteran Congress leader and MLA Suresh Routray, brought to light the government’s weaknesses.
