National Lok Adalat held in the High Court

Cuttack: The third National Lok Adalat of this year has been held in Odisha High Court. A total of 70 cases have been decided in this people’s court organized under the auspices of the High Court Legal Service Committee. Among them, insurance amount, land acquisition, NI Act, and other cases have been decided.

The average compensation in these cases has been fixed at 4 crores 54 lakh 67 thousand rupees. Various insurance companies participated in it. Odisha High Court Chief Justice and Advisor to the State Legal Services Authority Justice S. Muralidhar, Judge and Acting Chairman of the State Legal Services Authority Justice Yashwant Singh, and Judge and High Court Legal Services Committee Chairman Justice Shudashish Talsaye, the Lok Adalat was held. High Court Judge Justice Sangam Kumar Sahu, Justice Savitri Rath, Justice Ajanhan Shekhar Sahu, Justice Aditya Kumar Mohapatra, Justice V. Narsingh, and Justice Birja Prasanna Shatpathi presided over the meeting.
