No Irregularities In ASO Recruitment Process: OPSC Chairman

Cuttack: After the unsuccessful candidates of the Assistant Section Officer (ASO) exam hit the streets to protest, the Chairman of Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC), Satyajit Mohanty on Tuesday clarified that there has been no irregularities in the recruitment process.

In a press conference today, Chairman Mohanty said, “The mark sheet and answer will be uploaded only after the final result. As per the High Court order, the 2016 norms will be followed.”

The current exam had a minimum qualifying mark of 40% for the general category and 30% for SEBC/SC/ST.

Mohanty said, “The candidate would not have been selected if he had not secured minimum marks in any subject. They can complain after the final result is out. If the allegations are true then action will be taken.”

Notably, the results of the ASO examination published by the OPSC drew the exasperation of thousands of unsuccessful candidates.

Since the publication of the result, many aspirants who claimed to have done well in the written examination but did not shortlist have now raised questions about transparency in the selection process.
