No More Covid Vaccination In Odisha From Today

Bhubaneswar: The Covid vaccination campaign in Odisha will be wrapped up after the last doses in stock are administered on Sunday. Odisha is set to be listed among the states that have successfully completed the covid vaccination drive.

Notably, with the number of Covid cases declining in the state, a lack of interest of being jabbed with a booster dose was evident among the Odias, consequently, only 40% of them got themselves vaccinated with a booster dose.

Further, Covishield and Corbevax, have remained out of stock in the state because the Center hasn’t supplied them since October 12, 2022.

The nationwide COVID vaccination programme was officially launched in Odisha on January 16, 2021, with the first phase of vaccinations administered to frontline healthcare workers and soldiers, followed by the second phase of vaccinations given to seniors and other eligible individuals.
