Odisha CM Mohan Majhi & Deputies Meet Prez Murmu in Delhi, Extend Rath Yatra Invitation

Bhubaneswar/New Delhi: Newly elected Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Deputy Chief Ministers KV Singhdeo and Pravati Parida met with President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Thursday. The delegation discussed state affairs and invited the President to attend the iconic Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath in Puri.

President Murmu is set to visit Odisha for three days, including participation in the Rath Yatra on July 7 – her first since taking office. The Odisha leaders arrived in New Delhi upon receiving a call from the PMO.

Their itinerary includes meetings with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, key Union Ministers, and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar. This marks CM Majhi’s first Delhi visit since forming Odisha’s first BJP government on June 12.

The leadership team is also scheduled to meet BJP National President JP Nadda and Union Home Minister Amit Shah during their stay until June 29, signalling important discussions on Odisha’s development and political landscape.
