Odisha Records Significant Growth in GST Collections: July 2024 Sees 24.98% Increase

Bhubaneswar: Odisha has reported a significant increase in State GST collections, marking a 24.98% rise in July 2024 compared to the same period last year. The state collected Rs. 2035.18 crore under State GST (OGST + IGST Settlement) in July 2024, up from Rs. 1628.43 crore in July 2023.

The cumulative State GST collection up to July 2024 reached Rs. 8866.95 crore, reflecting a 25.67% growth over the corresponding period last year.

In addition, Odisha witnessed a 16.01% increase in Gross GST collections in July 2024, totalling Rs. 4925.02 crore, compared to Rs. 4245.40 crore in July 2023. The cumulative Gross GST collection up to July 2024 was Rs. 20841.33 crore, indicating a 15.41% growth.

The Commissionerate of CT & GST, Odisha, also noted an 18.15% growth in collections under all Acts, including OGST, IGST Settlement, VAT, and Profession Tax, with a total collection of Rs. 3209.66 crore in July 2024.

E-waybill generation in Odisha saw a 4.44% increase, with 21.02 lakh waybills generated in July 2024, compared to 20.13 lakh in July 2023. This includes 12.10 lakh intra-state waybills and 8.92 lakh inter-state waybills, highlighting the state’s economic buoyancy.
