Bhubaneswar: The cold wave gripping Odisha is expected to ease as an approaching western disturbance influences the weather, according to the Regional Meteorological Centre. Night temperatures are anticipated to rise by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius across many districts of Odisha.

The impact of the western disturbance is likely to normalize night temperatures in various parts of the state, with some areas also expected to receive rainfall from January 31, as per Umasankar Das, a Scientist at the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre.

Here is the forecast for rainfall in specific districts:

– Jan 31: Light rain expected in isolated areas of Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, and Keonjhar.
– Feb 1: Anticipated light rain in isolated areas of Balasore, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, and Mayurbhanj.
– Feb 2: Expected light rain in isolated areas of Balasore, Bhadrak, Keonjhar, and Mayurbhanj.
– Feb 3: Forecasted light rain in isolated areas of Balasore, Bhadrak, and Kendrapara.

This shift in weather conditions is likely to bring relief from the prevailing cold wave, providing a more comfortable environment in Odisha.
