Probe Panel Submits Report on Lord Balabhadra Pahandi Mishap During Rath Yatra

Puri: The panel investigating the mishap during Lord Balabhadra’s Pahandi at the Rath Yatra has submitted its report to the Chief Administrator of the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA). The three-member committee presented the report to SJTA Chief Administrator Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee earlier today.

Acknowledging the report, Dr. Padhee shared on X, “Action will be initiated against the individuals and servitors found responsible for the gross negligence in performing the deities’ rituals.” However, he mentioned that the final decision would be taken after discussions in the Managing Committee meeting.

The incident in question occurred when Lord Balabhadra slipped from the servitors’ grip and fell on the Charamal during the Adapa Mandap Bije rituals while being taken off his Rath.
