Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Bhubaneswar during a day trip to Odisha, where he will meet residents of Sabar Sahi slum in the Gadakana area. The visit is part of the launch event of the Subhadra Yojana.
During his visit, PM Modi will inaugurate the home of PM Awas Yojana beneficiary, Antaryami Nayak, along with houses of 36 other beneficiaries. Nayak expressed excitement, stating, “My family is thrilled to meet the Prime Minister.”
Sources confirmed that the PM will distribute a total of 10 lakh PM Awas Yojana houses across Odisha. Following the inauguration, Modi will also release the first installment of the Subhadra Yojana.
PM Modi’s itinerary shows he will arrive at Bhubaneswar airport at 11 am, travelling by a special Indian Air Force aircraft from Ahmedabad. He is expected to reach Gadakana by 11.15 am, where he will spend 30 minutes interacting with PMAY-Urban beneficiaries before proceeding to Janata Maidan for the main event. The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation for development projects worth over ₹3,800 crore, aimed at bolstering infrastructure and fostering regional growth.
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi inspected the PMAY homes and reviewed the preparations ahead of the visit. The Commissionerate Police have imposed traffic restrictions in Bhubaneswar from 7:30 am to 3 pm for the event.
