Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to flag off 10 new Vande Bharat Express trains on September 15, with three of them passing through Odisha, the East Coast Railway (ECoR) announced on Tuesday.
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has been invited to the event by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. ECoR General Manager Parameswar Funkwal personally delivered the Railway Minister’s message and invitation to the CM, who expressed his gratitude.
The new trains in Odisha include the Tata-Berhampur, Rourkela-Howrah, and Durg-Visakhapatnam Vande Bharat Express routes. With the addition of these services, the number of Vande Bharat trains in Odisha will increase from three to six, according to ECoR.
