Puri: +2 Student Commits Suicide In Hostel

Puri: A  plus 2 second-year girl student, studying at Samanta Chandra Sekhar Autonomous College in Puri allegedly committed suicide in her hostel room on Monday.

The matter came to light this morning when the girl’s friends had come to call her for Diwali but she did not open the door. She also did not pick up her phone despite repeated calls.

Getting suspicious, they called the Hostel Superintendent. Later, Town Police arrived at the hostel and found that she had hanged herself with her scarf.

Till the last reports came in, police have sent the body to a nearby hospital for autopsy, however, yet to ascertain the reason behind the girl’s extreme step. Further probe is on.
