At Least 3 Workers Injured as Under-Construction Building Collapses at Puri Railway Station

Puri: An under-construction building at Puri railway station suffered a partial roof collapse this morning, injuring at least three construction workers.

The incident occurred while the workers were engaged in roof construction activities. Thankfully, all injured personnel have been successfully extricated from the debris and rushed to the Puri District Headquarters Hospital for medical attention.

Fearing the potential entrapment of additional workers, fire and rescue services immediately initiated a comprehensive search and rescue operation at the collapse site.

This incident raises concerns about worker safety standards at construction sites. Local authorities are expected to launch a thorough investigation to determine the cause of the collapse and identify any potential violations of safety protocols.
