The 5 and half hour long operation has ended; all the 700 children trapped in the water have been safely rescued

Cuttack: The Gatiroutpatana operation has come to an end. All 700 children have been rescued safely. ODRAF and fire brigade were engaged in the rescue operation. Parents and local people also got involved in the rescue operation. The rescue operation lasted for five and half hours. The children were rescued from the water by 6 boats.

District Collector of Cuttack was present at the spot. The students of Saraswati Vidya Mandir were trapped in the water in Cuttack’s Gatiroutpatana. The Saraswati Vidya Mandir in Gatiroutpatana, Cuttack, was flooded after the river’s water level rose.
