Youth Kills Father, Rapes Stepmother In Jajpur; Nabbed

Jajpur: A 28-year-old youth allegedly hacked his father with an axe to death at Champajhar village under Tamaka police station in Jajpur district on Monday over a family dispute.

The accused, identified as Lubu Hembram also allegedly raped his stepmother when she resisted the brutal attack on his father.

His stepmother Shanti Hembram lodged a complaint with the police in this regard.

Police arrested the accused and seized the body of his father identified as Sada Hembram for post-mortem.

Police have also seized the axe used in the crime and a scientific team rushed to the crime spot and launched an investigation.

Police said that the accused confessed to having committed the crime over a land dispute.

According to police, accused Lubu, who was staying with his family in Tamaka, had a long-standing family feud with his father and stepmother.

Police, meanwhile, sent Lubu and her stepmother for medical examination.
