Ball hits neck of Indian star all-rounder, ambulance arrives at field

New Delhi: Star all-rounder Venkatesh Iyer, who showed his talent in the Indian Premier League (IPL), has been seriously injured. A ball hit Iyer’s neck during a match for the Duleep Trophy. As his condition was serious, an ambulance had to be called.

Iyer was injured by a throw from Chintan Gaja.

He played for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the last 2021 IPL season. He performed highly in both batting and bowling. At the time, he was being considered as an alternative to Hardik Pandya’s all-rounder in the Indian team, because at that time he was out of the team due to a heart injury.

However, in between, Hardik performed strongly and got a place in the T-20 World Cup. On the other hand, Pyaar has been left out of the team due to his poor form. Currently, while playing the Duleep Trophy, Ayer has met with a terrible accident. A ball of thought suddenly struck Iyer between his head and shoulder. He then collapsed on the ground and an ambulance was called.
