According to reports, Roby, dressed in his signature tiger costume, appeared to be in pain following an altercation. He later told the media that he had been punched in the abdomen. An official from the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association confirmed Roby’s distress but noted that he was unable to clearly explain the sequence of events.
As Roby exited the stands, he was visibly wincing in pain, and at one point, collapsed after being offered a chair. A police officer at the stadium said Roby was provided first aid, but due to the ambulance delay, the stadium’s medical team transported him to a nearby facility.
The exact cause of the altercation remains unclear, and authorities are investigating the incident.
