BCCI Chief Selector Chetan Sharma Stung; Alleges Indian Cricketers Of Taking Injections To Prove Fitness

Former India cricketer and current BCCI Chief Selector Chetan Sharma revealed in a covert sting operation that players in the national team frequently take secret injections to get fit before big matches.

In a sting operation carried out by Zee News on Tuesday, Sharma disclosed some startling information about some prominent sportsmen of the nation. He claimed that the Indian cricket players get themselves jabbed with certain injections to declare themselves fully fit even when they are not.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is ignoring this, despite the fact that well-known players are doing it.

“Jasprit Bumrah was unable to even bend due to a serious injury, a few other players claim to be fit to play after taking private injections. These aren’t analgesics. These injections contain drugs that go undetected by dope tests,” he alleged.

“Bumrah’s injury was so severe that he would have been sidelined for at least a year if he had played even one T20 World Cup match in Australia. The players need to take injections to play even when they are not fully fit. Even when only 80% fit, they are prepared to play,” he added.

In the leaking sting operation video recordings, Sharma is heard purportedly saying, “They take injections and start playing.”
