This significant increase marks a major boost for participating teams, with the champions set to receive a minimum of $2.45 million – the highest payout in the tournament’s history.

This marks a significant increase from the previous edition’s prize pool of USD 5.6 million.

The tournament, which will feature a record 20 teams including debutants USA, Canada, and Uganda, will span 55 matches over 28 days. Matches will be held across nine venues in the West Indies and USA, making it the largest T20 World Cup to date.

In addition to the prize money, teams will receive additional funds for each match won during the tournament, except for the semi-finals and final. The format includes 40 first-round matches followed by the top eight teams progressing to the Super 8s, with the semi-finals and final set to take place in Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, and Barbados, respectively.
