Ind Vs SA: Rossouw’s Brilliant Ton Stops Men In Blue To White Wash The T20I Series

Indore: After losing the top order and middle order in the chase of 228 runs, India lost to South Africa by 49 runs in the third and final T20I at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore on Tuesday.

Chasing a big target of 228 runs, India got off to a poor start as they lost Rohit Sharma in the first over. In the follow up, the South African bowlers kept chipping in with wickets at regular intervals.

Earlier, South Africa started with a bang and had 200 on its mind and successfully achieved the target.

Rilee Rossouw scored his maiden T20I century as South Africa posted a big total of 227 for 3 in 20 overs.

Quinton de Kock was then joined by Rilee Rossouw and the duo struck a partnership to take team’s total beyond the 50-run mark in 6.2 overs.

The de Kock-Rossouw duo shifted gears to take team’s total triple-figure mark in just 10.1 overs, and in the process, the wicket-keeper batter notched up his half-century off 33 balls.

Quinton de Kock also contributed to the team’s cause with a 43-ball 68.  Rossouw scored 100 not out off 48 balls.

On a bad night for all four Indian pacers, Harshal Patel (0/49), who is headed to the T20 World Cup, continued to leak runs.

Deepak Chahar, Mohammad Siraj and Umesh Yadav also went for more than 11 runs per over.
