India Take On Australia In Series Decider In Hyderabad

Hyderabad: India will take on Australia in the third and final T20I on Sunday in Hyderabad. Both teams have won a game apiece, and the series will be on the line in the final encounter.  The match will start at 7 pm.

India won the second T20I with six wickets and four balls to spare. In a match reduced to eight overs a side, Australia posted a total of 90/5 after being inserted into bat by India. Left-arm spinner Axar Patel picked up two wickets, while pacer Jasprit Bumrah scalped a wicket.

In reply, skipper Rohit Sharma scored a blazing 20-ball 46* at the top of the order to help the Men in Blue cross the finish line. Dinesh Karthik applied the finishing touches, scoring 10* off two balls.

After the second T20I, skipper Rohit Sharma was all praise for Axar Patel and Bumrah for their effort with the ball. “It was good to see Bumrah on the park. Slowly and steadily he is coming back into his rhythm. As a team we are not going to analyse it too much. Axar has fitted in the role well. He can bowl in any phase of the game. He brings a lot to the game,” said Rohit.
