Jasprit Bumrah Ruled Out Of Sri Lanka ODIs Over Fitness Concerns

Mumbai: Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah’s return to international cricket has been delayed further due to worries over his fitness.

The Mumbai Indians pacer, who was included in the ODI team for the next three-match series against Sri Lanka, will now sit out of the matches because he needs more time to fully recover from a back injury that has kept him sidelined since September 2022.

Bumrah’s return was declared unfit to play in the ODI series against Sri Lanka by BCCI and was subsequently withdrawn from the ODI squad on Monday.

Days after the squad for the ODI series was revealed, Bumrah was included in the ODI squad on January 3.

On January 10, 12, and 15, India will play Sri Lanka in three one-day internationals in Guwahati, Kolkata, and Thiruvananthapuram.
