KKR v RR: Rajasthan Opt To Bowl In Search Of Much-Needed Victory

Kolkata: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will take on Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the 56th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 today. KKR has been in top form lately, winning their last two games. On the other hand, RR is struggling to find their footing in the tournament, having lost 5 of their last 6 matches.

KKR will be coming into the match high on confidence, thanks to their recent wins against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Punjab Kings (PBKS). The team’s opening duo of Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Jason Roy has been in decent form, while the middle-order batsmen have also contributed significantly. The bowling attack, led by the likes of  Varun Chakravarthy and Suyash Sharma has been impressive as well.

RR’s performance with the ball has been disappointing thus far. Yashasvi Jaiswal has been a big revelation this season, smashing 477 runs at a strike rate of 160. RR star batsman Jos Buttler also found his lost touch in the last match. He scored a fiery 95 off 59 in their last match.

These two IPL teams have played against each other in 27 matches so far, with Kolkata Knight Riders winning 14 games and Rajasthan Royals winning 12 games. Another thrilling encounter is expected between these two sides on Thursday.
