Man Dies Of Heart Attack During India-Pakistan World Cup Match

Dispur: Whereas the Indian team gave their fans a Diwali treat on Sunday by defeating Pakistan in their World Cup opening clash, a piece of tragic news was reported from the Shivsagar district of Assam where a guy who was watching the game passed away from a cardiac arrest.

The event happened on Sunday night, and Bitu Gogoi, 34, has been identified as the deceased.

According to a police officer, a local movie theatre in the district was turned into a sort of fanfest where the game was being broadcast live and Gogoi had gone there on Sunday night to watch the game along with a few of his friends.

Gogoi, however, unexpectedly lost consciousness and collapsed during the game. His buddies hurried him to the hospital right away, where the doctors pronounced him dead.

Doctors claim that Gogoi’s cardiac arrest was caused by the excessive “noise pollution” that the excitement of the thrilling cricket match caused in the theatre.

The body has been sent for an autopsy.

Police from Shivsagar have launched an investigation into the incident in the interim.

However, Gogoi’s relatives suspect foul play, claiming that he was in perfectly fine health and had no prior ailments.
