New Delhi: Indian left-handed batsman Suresh Raina announced his retirement from all formats of cricket on Tuesday. Raina had to announce his retirement from cricket to play league cricket. It means that Raina will not play in any BCCI-related tournament.

Left-handed batsman Raina tweeted, “It is an honor to represent my country and the state of Uttar Pradesh. I am announcing my retirement from all formats of cricket. I thank BCCI, UPCA, Chennai Super Kings, Rajeev Shukla sir, and all my fans for having faith in my abilities.

The outstanding Suresh Raina wants to play in a different league. He will participate in the Road Safety World Series starting on September 10. As per BCCI rules, a player who is in any way associated with BCCI cannot play in any foreign league or any other tournament. BCCI does not allow any cricketer to play in other tournaments or leagues.

As a result, Raina had to announce his retirement from cricket to play in other leagues. Raina can now play in any T20 or T10 league in the world. He can represent in any kind of tournament. As a result, Raina will no longer be seen in the IPL from the upcoming edition. On August 15, 2020, Raina announced his retirement from international cricket. On the same day, India’s most successful captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni also announced his retirement from international cricket.
