BJP MLA Prashant Jagdev Granted Regular Bail by Orissa High Court

Cuttack: Arrested BJP MLA Prashant Jagdev was granted regular bail by the Orissa High Court on Wednesday.

He was arrested on May 26 for allegedly toppling an EVM and manhandling two polling personnel in booth no 114 of Kaunripatana under Bolagarh block under Bengunia Assembly constituency while the voting process was in progress on May 25. The presiding officer had filed a complaint against him.

On June 7, he was granted interim bail by the Additional District Judge-I for three days from June 9 to June 12.  He was asked to surrender before the court on June 12.

The Orissa High Court granted bail to Jagdev while reserving the lower court’s conditions.
