Sanjay Dutt Has Opted out of Welcome 3, Know Why

Mumbai: The announcement video of Welcome 3, named ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ showed that it will be a reunion of Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi. But as per reports, Sanjay Dutt is no more longer a part of the project. There were rumours that Sanjay Dutt exited because of fallout with co-star Akshay.

But sources have revealed now that Sanjay left Welcome 3 because he was unable to shoot for the tiring action segments of the movie after his long battle with cancer.

Sanjay had even begun shooting. But after completing just one day of filming in Madh Island, a few months back, he informed the director that he couldn’t continue due to health reasons following his battle with cancer and the subsequent treatments.

Dutt was reportedly diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. But neither he nor his family has revealed details about his ailment. In August 2020, he announced his cancer diagnosis. Months later, he declared that he was cancer-free.

Apart from Akshay, Arshad and Suniel Shetty, Welcome 3 has Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta Bhupati, Jacqueliene Fernandez, Disha Patani, Paresh Rawal, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade and Krushna Abhishek. Ahmed Khan is the director of the film.

It is expected to get released in theatres in December 2024.
