Terrorist Who Killed Kashmiri Pandit Slain by Security Forces in Pulwama  

Srinagar: A terrorist was killed in an encounter between terrorists and security forces at the Padgampura area in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Tuesday. The slain terrorist identified as Aqib Mustaq Bhat, had shot down a 40-year-old bank guard on Sunday in Pulwama.

Police said the killed terrorist was involved in the killing of Kashmiri Pandit Sanjay Sharma on Sunday. Two security force personnel were also injured in the gunbattle. Receiving intelligence information regarding the presence of terrorists, security forces cordoned off the Padgampora area to start a search operation.

The killed terrorist, Aqib Mustaq Bhat of Pulwama, was now working with the TRF terror outfit.

Exchange of fire was on. The body of the killed terrorist had not been retrieved and two terrorists are believed to be trapped. The search operation turned into an encounter after the terrorists hiding in a house opened fire.
