4 Dead, 22 Injured After Truck Hits Bus On Mumbai-Bengaluru Highway In Pune

Pune: As many as four persons were killed while 22 others sustained injuries after a private passenger bus was hit by a truck on the Mumbai-Bengaluru Highway at the Narhe Ambegaon area in Pune in the early hours of Sunday.

According to reports, the incident took place while a passenger bus on its way to Mumbai from Kolhapur when it was hit by a truck from behind on the Mumbai-Bengaluru Highway, resulting in a massive impact that caused the vehicle to overturn.

On being informed, firefighter teams immediately rushed to the scene, with a total of seven firefighting vehicles, including one rescue van and one rescue van from PMRDA, joining the rescue effort.

The injured were rescued and rushed to nearby hospitals for medical treatment.
