Mohali: Former Chief Minister of Punjab and the founder of the Shiromani Akali Dal, Parkash Singh Badal passed away on Tuesday after being admitted to a private hospital in Mohali, informed hospital officials and party sources. He was 95.
More than a week ago, Badal was brought into the Fortis Hospital in Mohali after he complained of breathing complications.
According to hospital staff, he passed away at 8:00 PM.
Badal was being attentively watched by medical professionals in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
The senior leader’s passing was confirmed by party leaders.
