Bhubaneswar: There is some good news for you if you have ever wanted to use one WhatsApp account on multiple phones at once. On Tuesday, the Meta-owned messaging platform announced that users would soon be able to sign into one WhatsApp account from multiple phones.
When logged in on a primary device, customers could previously only log in from browsers, other desktops, and Android tablets.
Users will now be able to log in from up to four phones simultaneously using the new feature, which WhatsApp refers to as “One WhatsApp account, across multiple phones,” and which will begin to roll out in the upcoming weeks.
Users won’t need to enter account information when setting up a second phone; they just need to download the app and choose the “Link to existing account” option. A QR code must then be read by WhatsApp on the primary phone using the “link new device” option after choosing the new linking option on the secondary phone.
Small firms with several employees using the same official account are the target market for the new feature. Additionally, it can be a useful feature for people who want to utilise the same WhatsApp account across all of their devices.
While being online is not required for users to use WhatsApp, linked secondary devices will log out automatically if they are not in use for more than 14 days.
