Father-Son Duo Electrocuted To Death While Fixing Live Wire In Odisha’s Jajpur

Jajpur: Tragedy struck Bengapatia village in Odisha’s Jajpur district on Sunday morning as a man and his son lost their lives due to electrocution while attempting electrical repairs at their residence in Bengapatia village, located under Danagadi block.

The deceased have been identified as Ganesh Mandal and his young son, Aashu. Sadly, Ganesh’s wife, Tulasi, was also critically injured while attempting to intervene.

According to sources, Aashu accidentally made contact with a live wire while undertaking repair work, prompting his father to intervene in a bid to save him. Sadly, both lost their lives in the ensuing electrocution. Tulsi sustained injuries while trying to rescue them and was rushed to the community health centre (CHC) at Danagadi, where her condition remains critical.
