Majority of Team India Players to Fly to New York on May 25 for T20 World Cup

New Delhi: Most of the Team India players as well as the support will leave for New York on May 25 for the T20 World Cup.

The players who are part of the IPL final will stay back and will leave for New York on May 27.

Earlier, the members of teams failing to qualify for the play-offs were supposed to leave for New York on May 21. But as per reports, now the first batch will leave on May 25.

Players like captain Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Rishabh Pant, Arshdeep Singh, Axar Patel along with support staff are expected to leave on May 25, reported PTI quoting a BCCI source.

The rest players will leave for the T20 World Cup after the IPL 2024 final on May 26.

India’s first match in the T20 World Cup is against Ireland on June 5 in New York, followed by the much-awaited match against Pakistan on June 9.
