IndiGo Resumes Daily Direct Flights Between New Delhi and Jharsuguda

Jharsuguda: IndiGo has resumed daily direct flights between New Delhi and Jharsuguda, bolstering regional connectivity and promoting business travel.

The inaugural flight, marked by a traditional water cannon salute, departed Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) on Wednesday at 3:20 PM, carrying 183 passengers. It arrived at Jharsuguda’s Veer Surendra Sai Airport at 5:15 PM. The return flight, with 182 passengers on board, departed Jharsuguda at 5:45 PM and reached Delhi at 7:40 PM.

This new route aligns with IndiGo’s mission to enhance regional accessibility. “These flights establish a direct link between Jharsuguda, an emerging industrial hub, and the capital of India,” IndiGo said in a press release.

“We’re delighted to offer direct connectivity between Jharsuguda and Delhi,” said Vinay Malhotra, IndiGo’s Head of Global Sales. “Jharsuguda, a rapidly growing industrial centre in Odisha, holds immense potential for business and trade. Our new flights will open doors to exciting opportunities in the region.”
