Grandson Kills 75-Yr-Old Woman, Uses Idea from Korean Series to Dispose Body

Mysuru: A 23-year-old youth named Supreeth was arrested by Karnataka Police on charges of murdering his 75-year-old grandmother Sulochana in Mysuru. The accused allegedly hid her body in his car for almost a day before disposing of it.

The body of the deceased septuagenarian woman was found on May 30 near Sagarakatte village in Mysuru taluk. It was half burnt and unidentifiable.

The investigating police officials could find similarities between the body with the details of a missing case lodged in Nazarbad police station in Mysuru city where the grandson was the complainant.

Detail inquiry increased suspicion against the grandson. During interrogation, the youth confessed to the crime. According to him, the old woman was scolding his regularly and on May 28, during an altercation between the two, he suffocated her to death with a pillow.

Later, he packed the dead body with a plastic sheet and carton box. He used information from a Korean series for his dead body disposal attempt.

He took the body to the KRS dam backwaters by his car and set it on fire. The accused had told the police that he had driven the car with the dead body of his grandmother all day. He even went to the police station to lodge a missing complaint in the same vehicle with the dead body inside.
