Stray Dogs Kill 11-Yr-Old Divyang Boy in Kerala

Kannur: Stray dogs mauled an 11-year-old boy to death at Muzhappilangad in Kerala’s Kannur district on Sunday. The victim named Nihal Naushad was a Divyang. He could not speak. So, he could not call anyone for help when he was attacked by the pack of street dogs, police sources said.

The boy was missing from his home on Sunday afternoon. Later he was located in extremely critical condition at a deserted spot around 500 meters from his residence by police and locals.

The dogs had bitten his abdomen and he was bleeding profusely. Though he was admitted to a hospital, doctors could not save his life. KPCC president K Sudhakaran alleged that gross negligence on the part of the state government in controlling the menace of street dogs had led to the death of this innocent child.
