Rs 7 lakh to Impersonate in NEET Exam, Gang of AIIMS Students Busted by Delhi Police

New Delhi: Delhi Police nabbed a gang involved in the impersonation of candidates in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET). The gang allegedly charged Rs 7 lakh to make its members take medical entrance exam in place of others.

A second-year student of AIIMS Delhi named Naresh Bishroi led this gang. Arrested Bishroi was luring first-year students at AIIMS into his gang by promising them easy money. He then arranged for these first-year students to appear in the NEET exam in place of other candidates in different parts of the country.

Four members of the gang have been arrested by the Delhi police. The arrested youths are Bishroi, Sanju Yadav, Mahavir, and Jitendra. Sanju, a first-year Radiology student at AIIMS Delhi, was nabbed while appearing in the NEET exam in place of another. Mahavir and Jitendra, also students at AIIMS Delhi, were arrested in Nagpur.

A laptop and mobile phones were seized from the arrested accused.

Bishroi confessed that he charged Rs 7 lakh from each student for rigging the NEET exam. An investigation is on to find out if there are any other students involved in the racket.
