Allegation of Newborn Swap in Nayagarh, CDMO Orders Probe

Nayagarh: A man made a serious allegation of baby swapping at the Nayagarh District Headquarters Hospital. The Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO) of Nayagarh ordered an investigation into the incident.

According to reports, Prabhat Kumar Behera, a native of Odogaon, alleged that his wife delivered a baby boy at the hospital but the newborn was exchanged for a girl child.

Behera alleged that an ASHA worker was involved in this baby swapping.

He lodged a formal complaint regarding this alleged newborn exchange with the Nayagarh CDMO. The CDMO has ordered a proper probe into the grave allegation made by the man.
