Former MP Quits BJP to Join Congress in Telangana Ahead of Assembly Polls

Hyderabad: Ahead of the November 30 assembly polls in Telangana, BJP suffered a setback as former MP G Vivek Venkataswamy quit the party and joined the Congress. Vivek was a National Executive Board member of the BJP. He was also the chairman of BJP’s manifesto committee in Telangana.

Vivek was formally inducted into the Congress in the presence of Rahul Gandhi.

Vivek sent his resignation letter to the Telangana BJP chief G Kishan Reddy.

Vivek’s exit from the BJP follows another senior leader Komatireddy Raj Gopal Reddy’s jump from the BJP to the Congress.
