Congress Candidate Mohammad Azharuddin Faces Legal Hurdles Ahead of Telangana Elections

Hyderabad: Former cricketer and Congress leader in Telangana, Mohammad Azharuddin, faces legal trouble just weeks ahead of the Telangana assembly election scheduled for November 30. Azharuddin, who intends to run for the Jubilee Hills constituency, is now embroiled in four cases related to alleged misappropriation of funds during his tenure as the president of the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA).

The Rachakonda Police have registered these cases against various office bearers and former members of HCA, with Azharuddin included. In response, Azharuddin has sought bail in all four cases by approaching the Malkajgiri Court.

Regarding the allegations, Azharuddin has denied any involvement and labelled them as false and motivated. He perceives these accusations as a tactic employed by his rivals to tarnish his reputation. Azharuddin expressed his commitment to addressing these allegations at the appropriate time and remains determined to stand his ground.
