TDP, Jan Sena Seal Seat Sharing for Andhra Assembly Polls

Amaravati: Telugu Desam Party TDP) and its ally Jana Sena Party have come up with an agreement regarding seat sharing for the upcoming Assembly polls in Andhra Pradesh. Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan released the first list of 118 candidates on Saturday for Andhra Pradesh Assembly polls.

As per the pact between the two parties, TDP will fight for 151 assembly seats while Jana Sena will contest on the rest 24. There are 175 assembly seats in Andhra Pradesh.

The TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu will contest from the Kuppam constituency.

Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan said the seat allocation had been done keeping in mind the need to accommodate the BJP in case the party decides to join the alliance. According to TDP sources, discussions were on for a possible pre-poll alliance with the BJP.

Lok Sabha and Assembly polls will be held together in Andhra Pradesh.
