Pakistan PM Wishes Narendra Modi for Taking Oath as PM for 3rd Time

On Monday Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif wished Narendra Modi for taking oath as the Prime Minister of India for the third consecutive term.

Sharif was the only prime minister from India’s neighbourhood who wasn’t invited to the oath-taking ceremony of Modi.

After retirning to Pakistan after his visit to China, Sharif posted on X, “Felicitations to @narendramodi on taking oath as the Prime Minister of India,” he said in a post.

Top leaders from India’s neighbourhood and the Indian Ocean region, including Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu, Nepal Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe were present during the swearing-in ceremony of Modi.

Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Mauritius Prime Minister Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, his Bhutanese counterpart Tshering Tobgay and Vice-President of Seychelles Ahmed Afif also attended the oath-taking ceremony at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
