Woman Kills 9-Yr-Old Son For Stealing Money, Neglecting Studies, in Tripura

Agartala: A woman of Joynagar in Agartala of Tripura allegedly strangled her nine-year-old son on Monday evening as she could not tolerate his “disobedient” behaviour.

The accused identified as Suprabha Bal, a daily labourer, confessed to the crime. The police team found her sitting near her son’s body. She has been arrested.

Suprabha worked as a daily labourer at a construction site. Her husband has left her. Her one daughter is married. She was a single mother left alone to look after her son.

She claimed before the police that she was irked by her son Rajdeep’s incessant misbehaviour, who stole money and neglected his studies. Because of such activities of her son, she was not able to go to work or live in peace. She confessed that she killed her son because of this.

The police have seized a piece of rope and a bamboo stick from her home, which were allegedly used in the murder.
