Rs 19.15 Cr Worth Gold Seized from Undergarments, Luggage of 2 Women at Mumbai Airport

Mumbai: Officials of the Customs department seized 32.79 kg of gold worth around at Rs 19.15 crore from possession of two women foreign nationals at the Mumbai international airport in separate cases. Both had concealed the smuggled gold in their undergarments and luggage.

Both these women were citizens of African countries. They were searched on suspicion after they landed at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport on Monday.

These two women were arrested after gold was found concealed in their undergarments and baggage.
