Pakistan Diplomat’s Cook Tries To Molest Domestic Help in Delhi, Case Registered

New Delhi: An FIR has been registered in Delhi against a Pakistani national working as a cook at the residence of the Chargé d’affaires at the Pakistan High Commission for allegedly attempting to molest a domestic help, reported India Today.

The victim was employed at the residence of Pakistan’s Chargé d’affaires Saad Ahmad Waraich. She was living in the servant quarters of the diplomat’s official residence at Tilak Marg, New Delhi.

It is alleged that Minhaj Hussain (54) was misbehaving with her since February. He was demanding sexual favours and was making obscene advances.

After an attempted molestation, the woman reported the incident to Saad Ahmad, who quietly sent Hussain back to Pakistan under the pretext of Bakri Eid festivities, reported India Today.

The Pakistani High Commission then instructed the woman to leave her job and residence by June 30.

The distressed woman lodged a police complaint at Tilak Marg Police Station on June 28. The Delhi Police registered an FIR under IPC Section 354 (assault or criminal force on a woman with intent to outrage her modesty) against Hussain, who has escaped to Pakistan.
