5 Terrorists Slain, 2 Soldiers Martyred in Two Encounters in Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar: Two soldiers were martyred and five terrorists were shot dead by the security forces in two separate encounters in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Saturday.

In the first encounter that happened in Modergam village, Lance Naik Pradeep Nain, a para commando, was martyred. Security forces launched the operation based on intelligence input and cornered at least two to three terrorists in their hideout.

The second exchange of fire occurred at Frisal Chinnigam village when security forces cornered Lashkar terrorists in the area. Havaldar Raj Kumar of the 1st Rashtriya Rifles lost his life during the operation.
