Devotee Severs Tongue as Offering at Ghatagaon Tarini Temple!

Bhubaneswar: Shocking everyone around, a devotee cut off his tongue as an offering at the Tarini temple in Ghatagaon of Keonjhar district.

The incident occurred on Tuesday and the devotee who took this drastic step was identified as Bijay Pradhan from the Ganjam district.

According to reports, Bijay visited the Tarini temple in Ghatagaon on Tuesday evening. After offering the usual puja, he took out a blade from his pocket and severed his tongue as an offering to the deity.

Profusely bleeding Pradhan was immediately rushed to the Ghatagaon Community Health Centre by the staff of the temple.  His condition is stated to be normal.
