14-Yr-Old Girl, Boyfriend Kill Mother For Opposing Their Relationship in Bengal

Kolkata: A woman was allegedly murdered by her minor daughter and her boyfriend, who is also a minor in West Bengal’s North 24 Parganas district. Both accused were arrested on Monday.

A month after the woman’s death, the 14-year-old girl’s father lodged a complaint, claiming that his daughter had killed his wife with help of a friend. The father claimed that his wife was murdered in their house on June 6.

According to him, he filed the complaint late as both the minors had threatened to kill him if he filed a case.

The man alleged that his daughter was in a relationship with the boy for over a year. Both had met on social media. The victim was against their relationship and often scolded her daughter for it.

Irked by it, the duo decided to kill the girl’s mother, the father said in his complaint.

It is alleged that the girl called her friend to her house on Juen 6 night and the boy allegedly strangled her mother. When the girl’s father woke up, the boy allegedly pushed him out of bed and also threatened to murder him if he revealed the incident to anyone.

The man claimed that he filed his wife’s death as a natural death and cremated her in the afternoon.

The minors were arrested after the man’s complaint. According to the police, the arrested duo has confessed to the crime.

A case has been registered, and further investigation is on.
