Body of One Missing Odia Doctor Found in Landslide Hit Kerala, Search On for the Other

Bhubaneswar: The body of missing Odia doctor Dr Bishnu Prasad Chinra, who went missing after the landslides in Wayanad in Kerala, has been recovered, confirmed State Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari.  Dr Chinara was among the two Odia doctors, who went missing after the landslides.

Odisha government has sent a team for the identification of the body. The body will be brought to Odisha after verification and identification.

Dr Chinra from Choudwar was on a vacation along with his wife Priyadharini Pal and friend Dr Swadhin Panda and his wife Swikruti Mohapatra. They left Bengaluru on July 26 for Kerala’s Wayanad.

While Dr Chinara and Dr Panda went missing, their wives Priyadarsini and Swikruti were rescued. Both are being treated at a medical centre in Kerala.

Dr Swadhin Panda is yet to be traced.
