4-Yr-Old Boy Dies After Falling Into Manhole in Maharashtra, Lid Wasn’t Installed Properly

Mumbai: A four-year-old boy, Samar Sheikh, died after falling into a manhole in Maharashtra’s Ahmednagar district. As per reports, the lid of the manhole was not installed properly. The ill-fated child was playing near his home in Mukund Nagad on Sunday evening when he stepped on a manhole lid that was not installed properly.

The mishap was captured by a CCTV camera fixed nearby. When he did not return home for long, his scanned the CCTV footage and saw Samar falling into the manhole. He was dead by the time they rescued him from the underground drain.
