Double Medal Winner Manu Bhaker to be India’s Flag Bearer at Paris Olympics Closing Ceremony

Ace shooter Manu Bhaker, who etched history by winning two bronze medals at the Paris Olympics, is set to be India’s flag bearer at the Olympic closing ceremony.

Manu won the first medal for India by getting a bronze in individual 10m air pistol event, becoming the first woman shooter of India to win an Olympic medal.

Then along with Sarabjot Singh, she bagged the 10m air pistol mixed team bronze.

Manu has been chosen to be the flag bearer, confirmed an IOA official to PTI.

The 22-year-old shooter from Haryana had earlier said it would be an honour to be India’s as flag bearer.

Besides Manu’s two medals, fellow shooter Swapnil Kushale won India’s third medal also a bronze in the men’s 50m Rifle Three Positions.
